Kamble wins 2nd LG India Cup Golf Tournament

Rajesh Kamble won the 2nd India Cup Golf Tournament which was held at the prestigious Doha Golf Club. The tournament, which was kicked off by Indian Sports Centre’s head of golf, Manoj Megchiani, saw 36 golfers vying for honours in the event that was played in two different formats — strokeplay for low handicap golfers and scramble for high handicap golfers. Kamble overcame stiff competition to emerge victorious in the competition, winning ahead of Yohann Pedder. The ‘best gross’ prize was won by veteran golfer Fazal Kazi and Arnav Jain was the runner-up. Father-son duo of Subhash and Akshay Randeva won the Scramble competition while Joe Coutinho and Kunal Bhatia won the second place. Tasnim Kazi won the longest drive, Sanjeev Gupta the longest putt, Kumar Natarajan the closest to rope and Arnab Dutta the closest to pin awards. Indian ambassador to Qatar, P. Kumaran, an avid golfer himself, participated in the tournament and gave away the winner’s trophy to Kamble.
